In rural Northampton County, there is a high school on the former site of soybean and peanut fields that has a 10-year legacy of 100% of all graduating seniors being accepted to four-year colleges.
On Friday, April 27th, that legacy will continue as each member of the senior class at KIPP Gaston College Prep Pride High School announces where he or she plans to matriculate to college at the annual Senior Signing Day event.
We hope you will join us for a Senior Send-Off Happy Hour on Wednesday, April 25th to show these seniors that they have the support of our community in the Triangle.
Our goal for the evening is simple: we aim to raise $18,000 to provide each member of the senior class with a $250 scholarship to be used towards college textbooks. These scholarships will be announced at Senior Signing Day.
Guests will also have the opportunity to:
-- meet KIPP Eastern North Carolina's Executive Director, members of Pride High’s senior class, KIPP ENC alumni and staff
-- learn more about our plans to grow and continue the legacy of our high school with our students at KIPP Durham
-- enjoy wine, beer, and light refreshments on the patio at the American Underground’s Google Lounge
We hope to see you there!
